Fall Break
October 2011
Fall break is a funny thing that we've gotten used to in the international teaching circuit. We'd never had one before but we sure like having it now. This year we decided to hop a flight to Senegal for some beach time relaxation. The morning we left, Rowan woke up and said to Calley, "I love you Mommy. I love riding a airplane. I love vacation!"
We spent the first night in Dakar with our friends Emily and Rachel. We did some aimless wandering whilst catching up on each others' news. Our other friend (and award-winning gift-giver) Melissa was also on the scene for bavardage and snacking.
The next day Emily and Rachel drove us all to the beach in Ngaparou to meet with some of our Bamako friends at the beach villa. Our digs are great. We've ben eating plenty of seafood, swimming, relaxing, and building massive sand-structures. Momentarily, Rowan is in napsburg and Calley is getting a massage. Enjoy a few photos and try not to envy us.
Wish you were here.
